Shipping Damages or Lost/Missing Parts

Shortages, Damages or Loss of Items in Transit

 

  • ** All shortages or damages must be reported within 48 hours of receipt of merchandise. Problems reported after 48 hours are not the responsibility of FDI Salon and resolution of the problems are not guaranteed.
  • ** Any damages to products are the sole responsibility of the carrier and such damage claims are between FDI Salon and carrier. The customer is required to provide photographic evidence of the damage so that FDI Salon can file a claim and send replacement merchandise to the customer.
  • **All shortages/backordered items and related transit costs are the shipping responsibility of customer, unless otherwise noted.  
  • Notify the deliveryman of the damage and please note the extent of visible damage & the probable concealed damage onto the delivery receipt. If you do not note the damage on the delivery receipt - we cannot be held responsible for replacement cost and/or filing shipping claims.  Your damage claim will be denied and you will be responsible for all replacement and re-shipping costs.  You must open all of your packages immediately and report any missing parts within 48 hours.
  • For example: If you hear a package rattling - you should make a note of probable concealed damage on the delivery receipt.  If there are any dents, dings, scratches, tears, missing plastic shrink wrap, opened boxes, legs sticking out of boxes, items are not on the pallet, etc you must make a note of it on the delivery receipt.
  • Do not refuse delivery.
  • FDI Salon is not responsible for damages incurred during transport to delivery destination.  Our shipping department will file a damage claim on behalf of the you, the customer.
  • Damage claims pertaining to causes other than shipping will be reviewed and authorized for reimbursement at the discretion of our Claims Department. If merchandise is defective, notify FDI Salon within 48 hours and retain ALL original materials, accessories, and packaging. Customer service representatives will instruct you on the additional steps that need to be taken. Failure to retain ALL original materials, accessories, and packaging may encounter delays and refusal of damage claim.  Before we can ship out replacements the damaged/defective item must be received back into our facility and inspected by our warehouse.  We will not ship out replacement items until we have the original item in our possession.
